I agree with ‘askcherlock’ – the Bible makes it pretty clear that ‘no-one aside from Jehovah knows when the ‘end’ will come. In the meantime I guess the subject of the Mayan calendar and 2012 makes for some good old fashioned nervous anticipation!

I bought this product with the idea I could play some games on it. The large screen is nice. 6 months after I bought it the motherboard is failing. HP says it cost $400 to fix. That is unrealistic since I paid 560 for the laptop in total. If you wish to play games on this laptop buy something else, it is killing my graphics card cause it gets too hot. HP’s customer support was no help either. This ends my relationship with them.

I never signed up for facebook because most of the people I know use MySpace, just never had a need for it.

I can’t believe you’ve come this far without ever signing up for facebook. I recently deactivated mine because I think I kind of lost interest in it and I don’t see the point in it anymore….. I’ve got contacts of people I want to continue keeping in touch with so I hope/think I can survive without fb.

I personally own this laptop, bought it new a year ago. I have upgraded it to Windows 7 Ultimate and it runs it flawlessly. I have actually noticed a performance increase with the new Win 7 install, not only does it run cooler, faster and everything, the battery life is MUCH longer. Before the upgrade, the reviewer is right, about 2 hours was all I was lucky enough to get. Since the upgrade… that is a different story. Browsing the web I get about 4 to 5 hours out of it (in power saving mode of course) sometimes a bit longer. If I am watching a movie, I now get about 3-3:30 hours. I have made no physical upgrades to this machine other than the OS. I too notice a heat issue. Speedfan reports it around 72 degrees celcius all the time, rarely falling into the normal category, but that is a AMD 64 for ya. There is not really an issue with this, just keep it adequately ventilated and you will hardly notice. But if you block the vents, you will get a nasty burn on your leg for your troubles! All in all, I highly recommend this laptop, it has a chrome keyboard and catches everyones eyes, plus it is a solid machine that is happy doing everything I through at it. Enjoy!

That sounds like a driver problem. Should be pretty easy to fix, you can find what you need on this page…

Just select your Operating System and you will be given a list of downloads. Let me know if this solves your problem.
